Welcome to AuraSprint ("we," "our," or "us"). AuraSprint is a vocabulary learning application developed by FluentLabs (Personal Developer). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our mobile application and website.

2. Information We Collect

We utilize third-party services to operate key features of the app. We may collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When you sign up via email or social login, our authentication provider (Firebase Authentication) stores your email address, user ID, and profile picture.
  • Learning Data: We store your vocabulary lists, learning progress, and quiz results to manage your specialized learning sessions.
  • AI Interaction Data: Text or voice inputs you engage with during AI tutoring sessions are processed to generate responses.
  • Subscription Data: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. We store your subscription status and purchase history but do NOT store your actual credit card details (which are handled directly by Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
  • Device & Usage Data: We collect anonymous analytical data about how you use the app (e.g., features used, session duration) and crash reports to improve stability. We may also generate a unique device identifier (fingerprint) to securely identify your device installation.

3. Device Permissions

To provide specific features, we may request access to your device's sensors. You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

  • Camera: specific permission is requested to take photos of text for the "Scan to Learn" (OCR) feature.
  • Photo Library: permission is requested to let you select existing images for text recognition.
  • Note: Images processed for text recognition are processed on your device (using Apple Vision or Google ML Kit) and are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly save them as part of your learning material.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide personalized learning plans and AI tutoring.
  • Manage your account and sync progress across devices.
  • Process subscription payments and grant access to premium features.
  • Deliver critical bug fixes and app updates directly to your device (e.g., via Capacitor Updater).
  • AI Processing: Your inputs are processed by AI models to provide educational feedback. We do not use your personal learning data to train public AI models.

5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Processors

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following trusted third-party service providers required to operate the app:

  • Google Firebase: For secure user authentication and database storage.
  • Cloudflare Workers AI: To provide AI-powered tutoring and content generation (using models such as Hermes-2-Pro and GPT-OSS). Your inputs are processed subject to Cloudflare's privacy standards.
  • RevenueCat: To validate receipts and manage cross-platform subscriptions.
  • Sentry: To collect error logs and crash reports (stripped of personal identifiers where possible) to help us fix technical issues.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only as long as your account is active.

Your Right to Delete (Apple/Google Requirement): You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

  • How to delete: Go to Settings > Profile > Delete Account within the app.
  • Effect of deletion: This action is permanent. All your learning progress, saved words, and subscription records on our servers will be immediately removed.

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures (including encryption in transit and at rest via our cloud providers) to protect your data. However, strictly absolute security cannot be guaranteed over the internet.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app update or by posting the new policy on this page.
